The world's full of faces, with smiles masking grudges,
One doesn't know to differentiate, howsoever far he trudges,

Friends, like a flock of birds resting on a tree,
A subtle sign of danger, and all would flee,

All but one will desert your side,

When darkness surrounds, look up in the sky,
Millions of stars give plenty of reasons to feel high.
But when the night is unbearable to a degree, When you are sunk in your sorrows, And are unable to seek solace in the celestial company,
Search within for the faith that binds us, the reason why we two are one.
Discover that ray of light, and as it shines over you, just look behind,
I was there all along, your shadow, just like a good friend
should be.
